BEYONCÉ ; LEMONADE.

If you've seen LEMONADE trending everywhere, can I just first of all clear your confusion and say it's not about actual lemonade, cause that will be totally weird.
It's about something way cooler, way more exciting, something we've been waiting for for a while now, and something, that is definitely going to blow your mind away. So what's it all about? Well, using spoken word, fashion and lots of lyrics about relationships, infidelity, empowerment and love, Beyoncé presented her new music Saturday night in a series of stylized music videos.

She told the story of a woman not to be trifled with. The "visual album" offered something the music world has never seen before. The internet responded accordingly. It's been trending in Twitter since last night with more than 1 million tweets already. First of all I'm happy that this gives us something else to talk about other than Prince's passing, which is just so inconsolable.

You're probably wanting to know more about lemonade other than the fact that it's a "visual album". Well, Lemonade was an ode to black women, and a deeply personal story at the same time. Beyonce shared home movies of her father, her wedding to rapper Jay Z, her pregnancy and daughter Blue Ivy's birthday party.
Beyonce also made a statement through the appearances of women holding photos of black men who have been killed. Among the women were the mothers of Trayvon Martin and Mike Brown, who held images of their sons. The chapter was marked "Resurrection." Pretty deep huh.

If you haven't watched it, you really need to, because it's absolutely surreal. I think I can describe it as life giving her lemons, and she making Lemonade and showing us how. It's all really deep stuff, from the poetry, to the soundtracks to the visuals, everything literally sets your mind thinking on various issues like Intuition, Denial, Apathy, Emptiness and, eventually, Resurrection, connected by a voiceover from Beyoncé

Right, so now you have a fair idea of this insane work from Queen B, I reckon it's time you go get it, and guess where it's available on? Tidal. I don't know why everyone's putting their stuff there these days. Anyway, I think this album is another masterpiece from the Queen herself, and I hope it intrigues you as it did me, and also helps you keep your mind off some of the sorrowful happenings of the week.
