Sad!: “Ninety-nine” dies at Bob Okala’s funeral

A movie producer popularly known in the concert party industry as “Ninety-nine” is reported to have collapsed and died at Bob Okala’s final funeral rites at the Arts Center on Saturday . The immediate cause of the veteran producer’s collapse and subsequent death was not known but comedian, Clement Bonney aka Mr Beautiful confirmed the news shortly to newsmen. “Ninety-nine” who was rushed to the Korle Bu hospital was pronounced dead on arrival by the medics on duty irrespective of efforts by NDC general secretary Asiedu Nketia who was on hand to provide funds for the producer’s medical expenses.

Keshi was one of only two people to win the Africa Cup of Nations both as a player and a coach Stephen Keshi, the Nigerian football legend who won 64 caps playing for the Super Eagles, has died at the age of 54. Keshi, who played as central defender and went on to captain the Nigeria national team, was one of only two people to win the Africa Cup of Nations both as a player and a coach. He suffered a heart attack, his family confirmed in a statement. "Stephen Keshi has gone to be with his wife," his family said on announcing his death. The statement notes that since the death of his wife, Kate, on December 9 last year, Keshi had been "in mourning". "He came back to Nigeria to be with her," it said. "He had planned to fly back today, before he suffered a cardiac arrest. He has found rest." Controversial Ghanaian boxer Braimah Kamoko, aka Banku Flesh has said in an interview that he is going back to school. Kamoko, who dropped out of school to pursue a career in boxing, told Jay Foley and Jeremie on LIVE FM’s morning show Live Breakfast Club that after achieving success, fame and fortune from the trade, he was now ready to go back to school. “I am going back to school. I am going to Accra Royal in Jamestown and ready to start from Form 1. Education is very important and I don’t joke with that. I admire people who pursue education and that is what I want to do.” Kamoko has been trending recently in the news and on social media for bleaching his skin and putting up a series of pictures and videos about it. So I've been thinking about this for a while now. I don't know why, can't really put my finger on it, but it is a pressing issue that bothers so many people. It has been taken as a normal happening for so long that many people out there don't even see it as a big deal anymore, many people you know, especially the men.
