Young Ghanaian tech entrepreneur to unseat YouTube with his own creation

The young University student indicated that he was motivated by other young Ghanaians who were making waves with their inventions to also build his search engine.

He said that his website which is called Mudclo was not like popular video search engine, YouTube. According to the young creator, he said his video search engine was built with the features of YouTube and two other search engines making his creation unique.

Speaking more about his creation, Gabriel indicated that Mudclo was capable of streaming videos for free provided the video was online. He had the confidence that his search engine was going to go global soon. Some of the content that can be viewed via the search engine include adverts, music videos and self-made amateur content.

He indicated that some big tech corporations had already noticed his creation; an indication that he had built something worthwhile. The young entrepreneur added that there was some work to be done on the search engine including fixing of bugs and boosting some features for maximum user enjoyment.

Gabriel Opare is a Sociology student but he said that he taught himself how to code by taking online courses.

Gabriel added that like any other person who is able to accomplish something or come up with an invention, he also felt proud that he had been able to build the search engine.

Many people have indicated that Africa can stake a claim on the global stage if many of such inventions are made to boost the technological advancement of the continent.
