This years Oscars which was the 88th Academy Awards ceremony was quite the controversial award show, no black nominees and whatnot. We all had a lot of questions when the nominees list came out, with some people including celebrities wanting Chris Rock to step down as the show's host. I personally thought this years ceremony would be a flop, guess you can say i have completely taken my words back. Yesterday at the Dolby Theatre, the night was incredibly epic, and Chris Rock could not have done a better job at hosting the event. Also, finally, Leonardo DiCaprio won his first Oscar (i have already gotten tired of laughing at him for not having one). Fifa has elected Gianni Infantino , a European football administrator born just six miles from Sepp Blatter’s birthplace, as its new president in a bid to restore the reputational damage wrought by his disgraced predecessor. The Uefa general secretary takes over from Sepp Blatter at governing body. Infantino fought off competition from Sheikh Salman and three others. The Swiss-Italian Uefa general secretary only entered the race when Michel Platini was suspended then banned for six years for accepting a “disloyal payment” from Blatter in 2011. But Infantino, who spent €500,000 of Uefa funds on touring the globe in the runup to the election, triumphed over the controversial Asian Football Confederation president, Sheikh Salman bin Ebrahim al-Khalifa, in the second round of voting by 115 votes to 88.

Grammy-winner Israel Houghton announced the end of his 20-year marriage to Meleasa Houghton, telling Facebook followers "I failed and sinned in my marriage."  "Several years ago I failed and sinned in my marriage. ... Some of those airbags could deploy explosively, injuring or even killing car occupants. At the heart of the problem is the airbag’s inflator, a metal cartridge loaded with propellant wafers, which in some cases has ignited with explosive force. Enough about all the facts about this years ceremony, I think what everyone was talking about was how the night was Kendrick Lamar's, from the 11 nominations which is the most nominations for any rapper,even beating Eminem and now second highest overall to Michael Jackson, to the 5 awards he won and also his amazing performance. I've had a lot of arguments with my friends on the whole "why didn't JCole get an award" even though his album 2014 Forest Hills Drive was superb and even went platinum. It's no doubt that most of us know every single song on that album and can sing most of the lyrics, especially G
