CHRIS BROWN ARRESTED...AGAIN.

LOS ANGELES — Chris Brown has been arrested on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and was being transported to the Los Angeles Police Department's downtown robbery-homicide division for questioning, a police spokesperson told Mashable. Police served a search warrant at the home of the troubled singer Tuesday afternoon following a peaceful standoff that dragged on through most of the day, LAPD Public Information Officer Tony Im said. Detectives initially responded to a 3:11 a.m. call from outside Brown's home in the affluent Los Angeles neighborhood of Tarzana, where a woman told police that Brown pointed a gun at her in a violent rage. Brown insisted that police get a search warrant to enter the palatial estate, and cops spent the next 12 hours stationed outside while a magistrate prepared the papers. TMZ reported that during that time, Brown taunted police and threw a duffel bag out a window that contained weapons and drugs. By late afternoon, Brown and severa

The jury unanimously pronounced Zeila guilty of murder; she stabbed a nursing student, Rawdia Aminu in the abdomen and chest at Lamashegu in the Northern region. The two were involved in an argument over a boy [Alhassan Abdul-Rahman]. Alhassan happened to be a boyfriend to Rawdia and an ex-boyfriend also to Zeila. The prosecutor of the case, Mr Salia Qudus narrated to the court that the two ladies were involved in a heated conversation about Alhassan, leading to the stabbing of Aminu in her chest and abdomen and eventual death. Even though Ghana has not undertaken any execution since 1993, the number of death sentences as at 2015, was 18.

Kenya women protest after men fail to impregnate them

Image
Call it whatever you will but reports have it that Kenyan women on Thursday held a serious demo in Limuru, Kiambu County protesting the dwindling performance of men in the bedroom. A Kenyan website, Tuko, reports that a section of women held a peaceful demonstration in Ndeiya ward claiming that most of their men, including young men have failed to perform their conjugal rights. The women said the trend was worsened by high levels of alcohol consumption which saw many men abandon their families. The women further claimed that only a few newly married women are currently pregnant with the rest of the bulk dreaming about ever having a baby since men have failed to impregnate them. “If you walk in this village, you will find so many young married women but only a few are pregnant,” Nancy Wangare, one of the protesters, is quoted as saying. Women have now threatened to move outside Kiambu to other counties where they can find real men who are serious enough to impregnate them. They fu

The statement notes that since the death of his wife, Kate, on December 9 last year, Keshi had been "in mourning". "He came back to Nigeria to be with her," it said. As a player Keshi, referred to by his admirers as "Big Boss", was part of the Super Eagles team that won the Nations Cup in 1994 and narrowly

I am going to Accra Royal in Jamestown and ready to start from Form 1. Education is very important and I don’t joke with that. I admire people who pursue education and that is what I want to do.” Kamoko has been trending recently in the news and on social media for bleaching his skin and putting up a series of pictures and videos about it. WHY DO MOST MEN CHEAT?

So I've been thinking about this for a while now. I don't know why, can't really put my finger on it, but it is a pressing issue that bothers so many people. It has been taken as a normal happening for so long that many people out there don't even see it as a big deal anymore, many people you know, especially the men. So here's the big question, why do most men cheat? How can a man have a loving wife/girlfriend having all the desirable qualities that one would want to find in a partner, you name it, looks, character, intellect, everything, and still decide to cheat? I'm not saying woman don't cheat, trust me I know a ton of girls who cheat on their boyfriends, but the number of men I know who cheat will probably be thrice the number of women who cheat. I decided to research a bit on it, find out more, ask some people, and this is what I found. 1.EMOTIONAL ATTENTION First thing I found out was that, strangely, the main reason why most men cheat isn't s

MUHAMMAD ALI; GREATEST EVER

Image
I just told my mom Muhammad Ali just passed away, I expected a normal "oh" and then she'd continue with her daily events, but today was different. She had never met the greatest boxer in the history of the sport, but the expression on her face told a tale of a young child who had watch all his fights, who believed in Ali, who idolized Ali, who was touched by each of the fights won by Muhammad Ali. Muhammad Ali wasn't just a normal boxer, sure he was done with his career before I could even say "mama" but his legacy will continue to live on centuries after his death. Here's all you need to know about the great Ali. Opening Day On April 4, 2012, a sold-out crowd watched as Muhammad Ali delivered the ceremonial first pitch during Opening Day celebrations at Marlins Park baseball stadium in Miami, Florida. But for many it was difficult to make the connection between the 70-year-old man on the field being driven slowly toward the pitcher’s mound in a gol

JOHNNY DEPP GOES TO JAIL?

Image
Before I start let me just say that this is really sad for me, because I'm a huge Johnny Depp fan, like, it's not even a joke. But when you hear that one of your favorite actors and probably one of the best actors in the 21st century beat up his wife, you start to feel pretty weird. All this started when Johnny's wife, Amber Heard (also an actress) filed for divorce. The weird thing is, she filed for divorce just three days after Johnny's mom died, so the entire world has been bashing her, mainly because they think it was quite insensitive to file for divorce so soon. The 30-year-old actress filed for divorce Thursday after 15 months of marriage. The pair did not have a prenuptial agreement. On Friday, she obtained a temporary domestic violence restraining order against Depp, 52. While appearing in court, Heard sported what appeared to be a bruise on her cheekbone. She had presented a photograph that shows her with a larger one. No police reports have been filed an

RIO FERDINAND'S LETTER TO MOURINHO!

Image
Congratulations to Jose on being announced manager of the biggest club in the world! This is Jose Mourinho's most exciting & most challenging job yet. The first thing he needs to do is install 'winning mentality' back into the club. Get this ingredient back into the players but also the people that work  inside the club day to day. Give them back that belief so it is breathing throughout the club again, which is so important. But doing the above in the Manchester United way is equally as important. I have heard many say the 'Mourinho WAY' is not the Manchester United style of playing football. However, the Chelsea team that Jose put together first time round when he entered the Premier League played with wingers and hurt teams with quick attacking play. They had the likes of Robben and Duff on the wings who were direct and quick. This is a sign he knows how to get a team playing in a way Manchester United fans can look forward to seeing. Another dou

No more automatic employment for nurses – Health minister declares

Image
Health Minister Alex Segbefia says his outfit will soon begin to implement a system where nurses will have to apply and justify their suitability in the health sector. According to him, the practice where nurses are automatically employed by the Ghana Health Service would be cancelled. He revealed this at a public sensitisation forum held in Ho for the conversion of the Volta regional hospital into a teaching hospital. He opined that government’s agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) necessitated the decision to enable it reduce the wage bill. “ The trainee nurses will have to join the job market just as any other graduate after their training, ”  “ … if we are not bonding we will not need to give you allowances because soon, by 2018, you will get to the point where all nurses that qualify will be like any university graduate that finishes university…” he stated. “ But by 2018/2019 what is going to happen is, we will look at your grade; it will be advertised like a

BEYONCÉ ; LEMONADE.

Image
If you've seen LEMONADE trending everywhere, can I just first of all clear your confusion and say it's not about actual lemonade, cause that will be totally weird. It's about something way cooler, way more exciting, something we've been waiting for for a while now, and something, that is definitely going to blow your mind away. So what's it all about? Well, using spoken word, fashion and lots of lyrics about relationships, infidelity, empowerment and love, Beyoncé presented her new music Saturday night in a series of stylized music videos. She told the story of a woman not to be trifled with. The "visual album" offered something the music world has never seen before. The internet responded accordingly. It's been trending in Twitter since last night with more than 1 million tweets already. First of all I'm happy that this gives us something else to talk about other than Prince's passing, which is just so inconsolable. You're probably w

Malaria Vaccine To Be Introduced In Africa Soon

Image
Sub-Saharan African countries with the burden of malaria could benefit from Mosquirix, a malaria ‘candidate vaccine’ for the prevention of malaria in children in the next five years. The vaccine, also known as “RTS,S” has been tried with 15,000 children at 11 research centres in seven countries with appreciable “safety, tolerance and efficacy level,” Professor Daniel Ansong, School of Medical Sciences, Department of Children, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology told the GNA on Thursday. He said this on the sidelines of a forum of “Malaria Scientist” to mark this year’s World Malaria Day in Ho. The forum was at the instance of the University of Health and Allied Sciences. Prof Ansong said the vaccine had received positive scientific opinion from the European Medicines Agency  and would soon be outdoored after the World Health Organisation’s recommended reviews and follow-ups. He said though not the “bullet magic” to malaria, the vaccine is coming on top of interv

New study estimates contraceptive failure rates

Image
Researchers have found in a most comprehensive study to date of contraceptive failure rates in the developing world that overall, letdown figures are lowest for users of longer-acting contraceptive methods such as IUDs, implants or injectables. The study recorded intermediate for users of shorter-acting methods such as oral contraceptive pills or male condoms and highest for users of traditional methods like withdrawal or calendar rhythm. The report: “Contraceptive Failure Rates in the Developing World: An Analysis of Demographic and Health Survey Data in 43 Countries,” by Chelsea Polis of the Guttmacher Institute and colleagues, expands on previous research on failure rates by contraceptive method. Using Demographic and Health Surveys from 43 countries, the researchers estimated failure rates among sexually active women of reproductive age for seven contraceptive methods of more than 12- 24- and 36-month intervals. The data cover 17 countries in Africa, 16 in Asia, two in Eastern

DR. STRANGE MOVIE RELEASE DATE.

Image
This year is already turning out to be a mad exciting year for superhero comic livers like me. If you've seen Batman v Superman your love for 2016 already started rising fast, and when Deadpool premiered...wow. I've literally watched that movie 4 times and I'm probably going to watch it again after posting this. Well, the year is about to get better for all movie lovers with the Dr.Strange movie set to be released on the fourth of November this year. Right, so for those of you who don't really read comic, here's a little on Dr. Strange. Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange, best known under his alias Doctor Strange, is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. A former doctor, Strange serves as the Sorcerer Supreme, the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats. Doctor Strange was an egotistical, but very brilliant and talented surgeon. So you can think of him as a modern day Ben Carson, just with like, a

Occultism at Wesley Girls: 22 Students nabbed

Image
Twenty-two students of Wesley Girls Senior High School in Cape Coast, in the Central region, have been nabbed by school authorities for practicing occultism. According to some students who spoke to  Starrfmonline.com  on condition of anonymity, the culprits were grabbed during their ceremony to induct a new leader for the sect as the previous leader is expected to graduate in June this year. One of the students disclosed that occultism in the school is prevalent and has been around for the last 23 years. Most of the students nabbed were first and second year students who had been initiated. The current leader of the group is reported to be in Abban House, a very popular House of the Methodist school. The occultists who are yet to be penalized by authorities of the school have been handed over to the Methodist Church in Cape Coast to help resolve the matter, Starrfmonline.com checks show. The situation has, however, created fear and panic amongst students and parents who are alarme

Trump isn't 'succeeding me' in office - Obama

Image
Speaking at a high-dollar, celebrity-attended fundraiser in Los Angeles Thursday, President Obama predicted Donald Trump won’t win the presidency in November. "I recognize that there is a deep obsession right now about Mr. Trump. And one of you pulled me aside and squeezed me hard and said, 'Tell me ... that Mr. Trump is not succeeding you!' And I said, 'Mr. Trump's not succeeding me,'" the president said Thursday. Obama also shared an unusual bit of praise for the Republican front-runner and his rival Texas Senator Ted Cruz, saying the two GOP candidates should be thanked for expressing the sentiments felt by some in the Republican Party. “Mr. Trump has actually done a service as Mr. Cruz is doing a service and that is laying bare, unvarnished some of the nonsense that we have been dealing with in Congress on a daily basis. People act as if these folks are outliers but they are not!” the president said. “We should thank Mr. Trump and Mr. Cruz for just

Terry Bonchaka Would Have Been The True Dancehall King

Image
Everyone is calling himself dancehall king presently but I dare say if Terry had not died prematurely he would had been the true proponent of the genre. Terry Bonchaka, the man famed for his unique dance and weird sense of fashion, died on October 29, 2003 moments after he performed at the University of Ghana, Legon. Shatta Wale fondly eulogised Bonchaka in one of his songs, calling him my ‘my master, the real puulele.’ This is not a mere compliment or a dirge. It’s deserved epitaph for the man whose input to raga and dancehall laid the foundation for the current crop of musicians. Bonchaka was the epitome of talent and ingenuity. He was ruthless with his microphone and revolutionise stage craft in Ghana. Unfortunately death snatched him when we least expected. So how would Bonchaka fare in today’s volatile dancehall terrain? Before I answer this question let’s look at what he exemplified during his time and how to place him in our modern context. Bandana, now called Shatta Wale wa

KEHLANI SURVIVES SUICIDE ATTEMPT.

Image
If you're on twitter, you've probably noticed one thing being mentioned over and over again, wait... What am I saying, of course you've noticed it, it's everywhere! Right so yesterday, the world found out that  Kehlani Parrish, known professionally as Kehlani, an American R&B singer-songwriter who is also the girlfriend of Kyrie Irving, the point guard of the Cleveland Cavaliers, has been doing a lot more than just writing music.  On Monday, when everyone was supposed to be at an Easter picnic or something, her ex  PartyNextDoor posted an Instagram photo with her hinting that he is back together with Kehlani, and now Twitter is abuzz with tweets about what happened. The photo shows PartyNextDoor and Kehlani holding hands in bed. He captioned the picture, "After all the shenanigans, still got the R&B singer back in my bed." The picture has since been deleted, and Kehlani has now erased her Instagram account. I'm not really shocked that all
