Kim Kardashian lashes out at celebrity critics over naked selfie

Kim Kardashian, reality TV star and social media doyenne, presumably hoped to provoke some kind of reaction when she tweeted a naked selfie earlier this week.

However, she's now hit back at a few celebrities whose reactions were less-than-supportive.

The slightly-NSFW-but-not-really image showed Kim naked, but with overlaid black bars protecting her modesty.

After she posted it on Monday the image has been retweeted close to 110,000 times - a huge number, even by Kardashian's standards - and her tweet has spawned a number of news headlines, thinkpieces and comments opining on whether Kim has done a good thing or a bad thing by tweeting the picture.

Among those with a negative view were Piers Morgan, Bette Midler and Chloe Grace Moritz.

"Kim Kardashian tweeted a nude selfie today," said Midler. "If Kim wants us to see a part of her we've never seen, she's gonna have to swallow the camera."

Moretz replied directly to the selfie tweet saying "I truly hope you realize how important setting goals are for young women, teaching them we have so much more to offer than just our bodies."

Morgan made reference to Kanye West's financial situation: "I know the old man's $50 million in debt, Kim - but this is absurd. Want me to buy you some clothes?"

Kim has now responded to all three in a series of tweets that "throw shade", as we understand modern parlance would have it, at the "haters",:
